High Definition…Contacts?

Are you tired of soft lenses that rip and tear?  Are you forced to wear your glasses half way through the day because your eyes get dry?  Do you feel like gunk builds up on your contacts and never comes off? Do you ever wish you could see the world as clearly as the picture on your TV?

There was a time when I answered “yes” to all of these questions.  I hate contacts that rip when you are just trying to get them out of the case.  I get frustrated when I can’t get all the goo off with a couple squirts of saline.  And, I hate, hate, hate it when I feel like I have to put my glasses on after having my lenses in for a few hours because my eyes are too dry.

So, I went to my America’s Best optometrist with these gripes and she recommended I try the Purevision line of contact lenses by Bausch & Lomb. And, here’s what else she told me about them:  They are high definition contact lenses!

Purevision lenses use a new AerGel (a silicone hydragel compound) material that allows higher levels (more natural levels) of oxygen to reach your eyes.  More oxygen means more comfort–as your eyes won’t dry out as quickly. They are one of the thinnest lenses on the market today, yet they are durable and more difficult to tear than the old style soft contacts.  The AerGel material also is resistant to protein build up and it even repels debris.

I was excited to hear about their durability. But, what I really need in a contact lens is one that helps me see more clearly.  I wanted to know how my contacts could be high definition!

She explained to me that the shape and material used in Purevision lenses provides a beautiful, crisp and clear picture when you look through them.  They are designed to reduce halos and glare.  And, they help keep things brighter when the lighting is low.  In other words, that remarkably clear high definition picture you get on your television is what the whole world looks like through these contact lenses!

PureVision lenses can be worn up to one month before replacement.  And, online reviewers swear that they feel just as good on day thirty as day one!  If you are ready to upgrade to high definition lenses, ask your optometrist at an America’s Best store if Purevision lenses are right for you.
